A South Carolina native, Taylor attended the University of South Carolina Honors College and the University of South Carolina School of Law. Immediately upon graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Larry B. Hyman, Jr. in the South Carolina Circuit Court. Taylor then became the staff attorney at Palmetto State Teachers Association where she specialized in education and employment law. Prior to joining the Academic Success team, she was the Assistant Director of the Constitutional Law Center at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law where she researched issues of constitutional law, specifically education-related issues, and provided professional development, materials, and other resources to educators, districts, and colleges of education across the state.
