Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

The U.S. National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF REU) program supports intensive research by undergraduate students in any area of research funded by NSF.

Overview

You are invited to apply for an NSF-funded ten-week summer research program hosted by the University of South Carolina Department of Physics and Astronomy.  Physics majors are invited to apply for the opportunity to work under the supervision of a physics faculty member on a focused research project.

You will join the research program of a faculty mentor, working alongside graduate students and postdocs in the lab, interacting regularly with your mentor in questions on the frontiers of physics and astronomy.
