Research
Samaneh's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying nerve injury and repair, with a focus on axon regeneration in the central nervous system. My research examines how local mRNA translation and protein synthesis within axons influence neuronal regrowth after injury. In Dr. Jeff Twiss's lab, I investigate axon-intrinsic signaling pathways that may limit CNS regeneration.
